| At
Hazleton Painting, we take safety seriously for two reasons: Our
safe work practices protect our workers and lower project costs
for you, our client.
When we develop a plan to achieve your goals,
we conduct a thorough inspection to create a complete on-site safety
blueprint. We also factor in the safety of a product before we purchase
it to use on your project.
So you can rest easy knowing your project will
be finished quickly, professionally, efficiently – and safely
– by Hazleton Painting.
The Hazleton Painting Safety Program
Hazleton Painting has an excellent track record when it comes to
safety. In fact, we have been recognized by loss prevention carriers
for excellence. Some of our most recent honors include:
- The 1998 Keystone Contractors Association
Safety Award, for no lost work time for the year
- The 1999 Keystone Contractors Association
Safety Award, for no lost work time for the year
- A June 2001 Certificate of Achievement for
being one of the contractors who contributed toward Merck attaining
1 1/2 million safe work hours at the Merck Cherokee site in Riverside,
Pa.
These are just a few of our accomplishments.
While every employee is personally responsible
for monitoring overall site safety, Hazleton Painting has a special
Safety Committee comprised of two field foremen and two representatives
from management, our president, and our shop manager. The committee
meets monthly to address safety concerns on the job, and to continuously
correct and improve safety policies and procedures for the entire
company.
Employees are respirator fit-tested annually
by a certified 3M Respiratory Training Instructor.
Hazleton Painting employees are subject to a random alcohol- and
drug-testing program. We do not condone drug or alcohol abuse, or
any employee behavior that may jeopardize the safety of others or
damage the client’s or company’s reputation.
Hazleton Painting has the following written programs in place:
